How do I sign in? There's no password.

That's right — DocumenTreeMe has no passwords. Enter your email address and tap Email me a sign-in link. The email we send contains two ways in, and either works:

• A 6-digit code — type it into the app. This is the most reliable way on an iPhone, so it's the one we'd suggest.
• A tap-to-open link — open it on the same device and you're in.

Both expire after about an hour, for security. If you're new, signing in this way creates your account automatically.

My sign-in email didn't arrive.

Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, wait a couple of minutes — some email providers add a short delay — then try again. Still nothing? Email us and we'll look into it.

My 6-digit code says it didn't match.

If you tapped "Email me a sign-in link" more than once, only the code in the newest email works — the earlier ones stop working as soon as a new one is sent. Find the most recent email and use that code.

Can I try the app without signing up?

Yes. Tap Continue as guest on the sign-in screen. You can add photos, record a memory, and watch it back without an account. Signing in is only needed to save albums to the cloud and share them with family.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

Open the app, tap your initials in the top-right to open Account, then Legacy contact, and scroll to Danger zone → Delete my account. Type DELETE to confirm. Your albums, audio recordings, and account are erased within seconds.

Why did the AI fail to find the photos on my album page?

The AI needs a clear, well-lit photo of the page. Try again with more light, less glare, and the album laid flat. If it still can't find them, you can continue anyway — the whole page is kept as one image and you can record a memory about it.

Does DocumenTreeMe work without internet?

You need internet to sign in, upload photos, and let the AI work. Playing back an album you've already opened works offline.

Who can see my albums?

Only you and the people you share the link with. Albums are private by default. Anyone holding a share link can view that album and add a voice recording to it, so share links only with people you trust. See our privacy policy for detail.

Someone added something to an album that shouldn't be there.

If you own the album, open it and use Manage voices to hide or delete any contributor's recording. If someone has shared an album with you that contains content you think breaks our rules, use the Report option on that album, or email privacy@maxlawrence.ai telling us which album and what the problem is. We aim to review every report within 24 hours.
